The Churchtown Fire Co.#1, is a fully volunteer company providing fire protection and rescue services to portions of the Town of Claverack and the Town of Taghkanic. We have three membership levels; Active Fire Fighter/Fire Police, Social Member and Youth Member. We encourage all residents to become involved in our fire company at whatever membership level you are comfortable with. Being part of a fire company gives great satisfaction knowing you are an important part of keeping your community safe.

Who is Churchtown Fire Co.

We are Churchtown Fire Company - an all volunteer fire company. In addition to fighting fires, members are also trained in accident victim extraction, aircraft rescue and firefighting, search & rescue operations, hazardous materials' awareness, ice rescue, and wildland fire suppression. The Company is a New York State Registered Basic Life Support First Responder Unit, providing rapid care to the sick and injured.

Churchtown Fire Co.#1 serves portions of Taghkanic and Claverack including the hamlets of Churchtown, Hollowville and Martindale.

Catering & Events

Not only are we a service-oriented volunteer fire company, we also offer catering and rentals for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, or any other event. We have beautiful facilities paired with excellent service that will make your event one to remember.
